Cancer Patient Navigators of Georgia

Cancer Patient Navigators

Georgia is one of the first states in the country to form a statewide multi-disciplinary organization for cancer patient navigators. This organization was formed to connect people who guide individuals and their families throughout the cancer care continuum.

Cancer Patient Navigators of Georgia (CPNG) is comprised of individuals who serve people with all types of cancer, at all stages, in all types of settings. CPNG members have a diversity of education and training, but a shared mission: to connect, educate and share best practices among patient navigators in Georgia, as well as successfully reduce barriers and increase access to cancer-related services.

Established in 2009, CPNG’s website has a “members only” section where cancer patient navigators across the state can share information and resources, as well as join special interest groups within CPNG. Co-sponsored by the Georgia Center for Oncology Research and Education (Georgia CORE) and the Georgia Society of Clinical Oncology (GASCO), CPNG has more than 300 members working throughout the state.
